Project Advantage Ltd (PAL) worked with Canterbury
Development Corporation (CDC) senior management to delivering a step
change to their business and project management systems. We provided
Consultancy and Training support to define, capture and then implement
the transition of an integrated Project Management System into their
organisation.
The change project was managed from
within CDC, with PAL in a consultancy role providing information, support
and training. PAL worked with CDC to understand their present-state
business, organisational, cultural and management systems and to
map the path of change.
PAL and CDC collaborated to
develop the custom stage-gate and project management processes.
Together we designed and delivered an array of project management
tools, techniques and templates to control their projects. The process
covers activities from the inception of an idea to project close and
will be used for all major CDC projects .
PAL helped
facilitate upfront reviews and incorporation of processes and templates
common understandings with all areas of the organisation to create and
imbed a common CDC language.
Standard Project Management
training courses and associated jargon were not going to meet CDCs true
needs! We designed and delivered tailor made training and workshop
events. These informed their evolving Project Management knowledge
awareness while ensuring a basic understanding of what had to be really
done in practice.
CDCs sector managers and other staff have
began the implementation of the new system and we continue to build on
our collaborative and open relationship with CDC.Not only by delivering consultancy and training
but with the availability of Project Management contracting resource for
those flagship and intricate projects.
CDC realised the benefit
of working with Project Advantage.
