Nigel Kingshott - Project Manager

Nigel began his career in electronics engineering in the early 1980's.  In 1988 he moved into project management and within 7 years had progressed to the position of Programme Manager within TMS Ltd, with a portfolio of $10-15M of projects per annum. Several of Nigel’s projects were for international clients, with some tendered and executed jointly with English and French teams: a true test of international project management skills.

In 1998 Nigel became the Business Development Manager for the outboard acoustics and sonar division of TMS Ltd, a business of over $50M per annum.  The following year he took on the risk and process management role for a multi billion dollar UK armed services radio development and roll out project.

Since moving to New Zealand in 2001, Nigel has worked on a range of projects including: development of a back-office power management software suite; development of a NPD process, including web site and training programme; and management of a major next generation telecom power equipment programme.

Nigel brings the following capabilities to the business:

  • Technical project management expertise

  • New Product Development (NPD) using Stage-Gate
  • Business process analysis and improvement
  • Tender responses
  • Technical procurements through competitive tenders

In addition to his engineering qualifications, Nigel has a Diploma in Business Management from Kingston University (London).  He is member of the Project Management Institute and a certified Project Management Professional.

Nigel lives on a lifestyle block, where he has established a small vineyard.  He enjoys travelling overseas, sampling new foods and, of course, tasting new wines.
